About FinanceCalc
Updated: October 13, 2026
FinanceCalc is a free collection of 49 financial calculators covering mortgages, loans, savings, investments, retirement, budgeting and taxes.
Why we built it
Most financial calculator sites bury the tool under ads, require signups, or hide what formula they use. We do the opposite:
- Everything runs in your browser — your numbers never leave your device, nothing is stored, no account needed.
- Transparent methodology — every calculator page explains the formula it uses and shows a worked example.
- Honest framing — results are estimates for planning, clearly labelled as not financial advice.
Who it's for
Anyone comparing a mortgage offer, planning a payoff, checking what a monthly saving becomes in 20 years, or learning how a financial concept works — students, homeowners, freelancers and curious planners.
How the calculators work
Each tool implements standard published formulas (amortization, compound interest, present/future value, tax brackets). You enter your numbers; JavaScript computes the result instantly on your device. Nothing is uploaded.
